B. Abel Learwellie - Founder/Executive Director
B. Abel Learwellie has taught for eight (8) years with nine (9) years of experience working on conflict resolution, peace-building, trauma healing, leadership development, resource mobilization and institutional capacity-building programs. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Camp for Peace Liberia and his primary responsibilities include conducting training for capacity building program and providing general oversight on program strategies, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; and ensuring regular and timely reporting on program activities.
His previous experience includes assisting in planning and directing employee orientation and training programs at LCL-THRP; conducting intensive program activities as part of a rehabilitative and counseling at Camp Mount Luther and the Fellowship of Reconciliation in the United States; and facilitating classroom instructions for students at St. Mark’s Lutheran School in Gbarnga, Bong County, School of Christ International; and Rev. J. W. Andersen Elementary and Junior High School in Monrovia.
He has international field experience in the United States, and is proficient in typing, using computer software and database management. He holds Master of Arts (M.A) Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Sociology from the University of Liberia.
