Camp for Peace Liberia has released its 2022 annual activities and achievement report, showcasing its successful initiatives in agriculture vocational training, women’s empowerment, and access to justice programs. The agriculture vocational program enrolled 27 participants and had a significant impact on the participants’ behavior, instilling hope for the future. Post-training cooperatives provided employment opportunities and reduced poverty and food insecurity in the community. The Women Empowerment Project empowered 76 vulnerable women for viable livelihoods and established three post-training cooperatives, promoting mutual respect, tolerance, and social cohesion. The Rule of Law & Access to Justice Program successfully mediated and closed 1,355 out of 1,501 cases, creating a platform for community leaders and justice actors to discuss and resolve challenges affecting Liberia’s justice system. Despite the challenges faced by CFP, including abrupt project shutdown and lack of sufficient funds, Camp for Peace Liberia remains committed to its work towards sustainable social, economic, and spiritual development in Liberia.
